I have an older TED1000RDU sn A1003047, and in the panel a 1000MTU, sn 014B1003014.
Lately, it's been stuck at 7.910KW most of the time. It occasionally changes, but it's definitely not like it should be. I turned on the lights in my basement (a bunch of 100w incandescent bulbs plus a couple banks of florescent) and it didn't change at all. Not even turning on the oven made a difference.
I  measured the incoming legs in the panel with my clamp amp-meter. 1 leg was at 6 amps, the other at 11.1, and the incoming voltage averaged out to 122.6 (one was .5, the other .7). According to my calculations, 122.6V * 11.1A = ~2.1kW.
Any suggestions on what to do with it, or ways to further diagnose its problem ?
Thanks,
   Drew
